TUTOR-ME · TutorMe Team / TUTOR-ME 350 Team

Terms and Conditions

Effective date: 25 October 2026

Planned public launch: Friday, 30 October 2026

These Terms explain the rules for using TUTOR-ME, an educational platform intended to support Nigerian secondary-school students and candidates preparing for BECE, WAEC, NECO and JAMB.

1. Introduction and agreement

These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of TUTOR-ME, including its website, student dashboard, learning resources, practice questions, computer-based tests, AI tutoring features, study-planning tools, progress features, and other services made available through the platform.

By accessing or using TUTOR-ME, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the platform. If you are under the age at which you can independently consent to the relevant terms or data processing under applicable law, your parent, guardian, school, or other legally authorised representative must provide any consent or authorisation required by law.

These Terms should be read together with the TUTOR-ME Privacy Policy and any specific conditions displayed before you use a feature, register for a programme, or purchase a service.

2. About TUTOR-ME and its operator

TUTOR-ME is an educational platform intended to help Nigerian secondary-school students and candidates preparing for BECE, WAEC, NECO, JAMB and related examinations learn, practise, identify areas of difficulty, and improve their understanding.

The platform is operated by the TutorMe Team, also referred to as the TUTOR-ME 350 Team, led by Godspower Asanam. These names identify the operating team and do not, by themselves, represent a claim that a particular incorporated legal entity exists.

The platform's contact details are tutormesupport@gmail.com for ordinary support, asanamgodspower@gmail.com for serious unresolved matters requiring escalation, and 09163115859 as the support telephone number.

3. Effective date and launch

These Terms have an effective date of 25 October 2026. The currently planned public launch date is Friday, 30 October 2026. A planned launch date is informational and is not a guarantee that every feature will be available on that date.

Features, availability, examination coverage, access arrangements, and service limits may change as the platform develops. Any material change to these Terms will be handled in accordance with the changes section below and applicable law.

4. Educational purpose and examination preparation

TUTOR-ME provides educational assistance, revision materials, practice activities, study guidance, and tools intended to support learning and examination preparation. It is designed to support, not replace, teaching by qualified educators, official examination instructions, approved curricula, textbooks, or a student's own study.

The platform may provide content aligned with topics commonly associated with Nigerian secondary education and examinations, including JAMB, WAEC, NECO and BECE. The inclusion of a topic or question does not guarantee that it will appear in a future examination or that the platform reproduces the complete or latest official syllabus.

Students remain responsible for studying the relevant official syllabus, checking examination-board announcements, and following the instructions of their schools and examination bodies.

5. Eligibility, children and parental responsibility

TUTOR-ME is intended primarily for secondary-school students and examination candidates. Users must provide accurate information when registering and must not falsely claim another person's identity, age, school, qualifications, or authority.

Where a user is a child or otherwise requires a parent, guardian, school, or other representative to authorise their use of the platform, that authorisation must be obtained as required by applicable law. Parents and guardians should help younger students understand safe and appropriate use of educational technology.

Parents, guardians and schools should not give a child another person's account credentials or encourage a child to submit another person's personal information without appropriate authority. TUTOR-ME does not intend to collect more personal information from children than is reasonably necessary for the relevant educational purpose.

6. Registration and account security

You are responsible for providing accurate registration details, keeping your sign-in credentials secure, and taking reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised access to your account.

You must notify TUTOR-ME promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission, your credentials have been compromised, or another person is using your identity on the platform.

You must not create accounts through impersonation, use false information to obtain benefits, attempt to bypass access restrictions, or access another user's account without permission. TUTOR-ME may take reasonable steps to investigate suspected account misuse and protect users and the service.

7. Acceptable use and student conduct

You must use TUTOR-ME lawfully, honestly, and for legitimate educational or other expressly permitted purposes. You must not use the platform to harass, bully, threaten, intimidate, humiliate, discriminate against, exploit, or target another person.

You must not post or transmit unlawful, abusive, defamatory, sexually exploitative, deliberately harmful, or otherwise prohibited material. TUTOR-ME is an educational platform and does not intend to provide adult or sexually explicit content.

You must not attempt to disrupt the service, introduce malicious code, interfere with security, scrape or extract content at scale without authorisation, evade usage limits, reverse engineer protected components where prohibited by law, or use the platform to facilitate fraud or other unlawful activity.

Where conduct presents a safety concern, TUTOR-ME may investigate, restrict access, preserve relevant information where lawful, or refer a matter to an appropriate authority when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect users.

8. Respect, safeguarding and reporting concerns

Students should treat other students, teachers, parents, moderators and support personnel respectfully. Bullying, harassment, threats, impersonation, intimidation and the misuse of another person's personal information are prohibited.

Users or guardians who encounter a serious safety issue, abusive conduct, suspected account compromise, or harmful content should contact tutormesupport@gmail.com. Serious unresolved matters may be escalated to asanamgodspower@gmail.com. The support telephone number is 09163115859.

TUTOR-ME may review and act on reports within its reasonable capacity. No online service can guarantee that all harmful conduct or inappropriate material will be identified or removed immediately. Users should not rely on the platform as an emergency service; immediate danger should be reported to the appropriate local emergency or safeguarding authority.

9. Schools, teachers, parents and authorised users

Schools, teachers, parents and guardians who arrange or supervise access must ensure that they have the necessary authority to provide student information, establish accounts, or request services on behalf of a student.

An authorised adult or institution must use student information only for legitimate, authorised educational and safeguarding purposes and must take reasonable care to protect credentials and personal information.

Where a school or other institution has a separate written agreement with TUTOR-ME, that agreement may govern specific institutional services. If an institutional agreement conflicts with these general Terms, the specific agreement will control only to the extent that it lawfully and expressly applies to the conflicting subject.

10. Learning materials and question banks

TUTOR-ME may provide practice questions, explanations, study notes, revision materials, quizzes, mock tests, computer-based tests, worked solutions, and other educational content. Content may be prepared by the TUTOR-ME team, generated or assisted by AI, contributed by third parties, or obtained from sources for which use is permitted.

The platform aims to provide educationally useful content, but questions or explanations may contain errors, omissions, outdated information, ambiguous wording, or differences from a particular examination board's preferred approach. Users should verify important information against authoritative syllabuses, textbooks, teachers, and official examination-board materials.

A practice score or result on TUTOR-ME is not an official examination result, certificate, admission decision, or guarantee of future performance. Practice questions are not represented as leaked examination papers or as a guarantee of actual future examination questions.

11. Intellectual property and ownership

The TUTOR-ME name, branding, original interface, software, original text, original illustrations, and other materials created by or for the platform may be protected by intellectual-property laws. Except where permission is granted by law or in writing, users may not copy, republish, sell, distribute, or commercially exploit protected platform materials without authorisation.

Third-party question banks, books, videos, images, logos, learning resources, and other materials remain the property of their respective owners or rights holders. Their inclusion in or reference by TUTOR-ME does not automatically transfer ownership to TUTOR-ME or its users.

Where a source or contributor is known and attribution is appropriate or required, TUTOR-ME aims to provide attribution in the relevant context or credits. Attribution does not mean that TUTOR-ME owns the attributed material or that the rights holder endorses the platform.

Users must respect copyright, licence conditions, attribution requirements, and other applicable rights. If a rights holder believes that material has been used improperly, they may contact tutormesupport@gmail.com with sufficient information to identify the material and explain the concern.

12. Third-party educational sources and video attribution

Educational resources may refer to or incorporate materials associated with external educators, publishers, question-bank contributors, video creators, scientific or educational organisations, and other third-party sources. NASA and other source organisations may be referenced where their material is relevant and its use is permitted.

TUTOR-ME does not claim ownership of third-party works merely because they are displayed, linked, cited, discussed, or used as a permitted learning resource. Any applicable source-specific terms, licence notices, and attribution requirements continue to apply.

The platform cannot guarantee the continued availability, accuracy, suitability, or accessibility of third-party material. A third-party link or attribution does not constitute an endorsement by the relevant creator or organisation unless expressly stated.

13. AI tutor and AI-generated content

TUTOR-ME may provide AI-assisted tutoring, explanations, question support, voice tutoring, study assistance, image-based question assistance, recommendations, or other AI-supported features. AI-generated responses are produced automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, outdated, confusing, or inappropriate for a particular examination syllabus.

AI responses are educational assistance, not authoritative examination-board guidance, professional advice, or a substitute for a qualified teacher. Students should ask follow-up questions, check calculations, compare answers with trusted learning resources, and seek help from a teacher when an answer appears inconsistent or unclear.

Users must not treat an AI-generated answer as guaranteed to be correct merely because it is delivered confidently or appears detailed. TUTOR-ME does not guarantee a particular score, grade, admission outcome, scholarship, or other result from using AI features.

14. AI providers and processing of submitted content

Depending on feature configuration, availability, and routing, TUTOR-ME may use third-party AI services or models associated with Gemini, NVIDIA, OpenRouter, and DeepSeek. The particular provider or model used for a request may vary. OpenRouter may route requests to models or providers available through its service.

When a user submits a question, prompt, image, voice input, or other material to an AI feature, the material needed to process the request may be transmitted to the relevant AI service provider. Processing by a provider is subject to the applicable provider's service terms, privacy practices, technical arrangements, and configuration.

Users should avoid submitting passwords, payment-card details, government identification numbers, confidential school records, sensitive personal information, or another person's private information unless the feature expressly requires the information and the user has lawful authority to provide it.

TUTOR-ME does not represent that every AI provider receives every request, that every provider retains or uses submitted content in the same way, or that every provider's data practices are identical. Further details about personal-data handling are addressed in the Privacy Policy.

15. Images, voice input and uploaded materials

If an available feature accepts a photograph, screenshot, image, audio recording, voice input, or other upload, you must have the right and authority to submit that material. You must not upload another person's private information, copyrighted content, or confidential material without a lawful basis or permission where required.

Image recognition, speech recognition, transcription, and automated interpretation can make mistakes. A photograph may be unclear, a handwritten expression may be misread, or a spoken question may be transcribed incorrectly. Users should check the information interpreted by the system before relying on an answer.

Uploads may be processed by TUTOR-ME and the relevant technical or AI providers as necessary to provide the requested feature, subject to applicable privacy terms and law. Do not use these features to submit harmful, unlawful, exploitative, or unrelated sensitive material.

16. Study planning, progress and recommendations

TUTOR-ME may offer study plans, reminders, progress summaries, performance analysis, topic recommendations, weak-area identification, goals, badges, medals, or other learning-support features.

Such features are intended to encourage practice and help students organise their studies. They may rely on the activity or answers recorded by the platform and may not reflect every aspect of a student's ability, effort, circumstances, or actual examination readiness.

A recommendation, progress indicator, badge, medal, or score is not a formal academic assessment or a guarantee of an examination result. Users should report apparent technical errors through the ordinary support channel.

17. Leaderboards, display names and shared achievements

If TUTOR-ME offers leaderboards or other comparative features, information such as a chosen display name, score, rank, or achievement may be visible to other users according to the design and settings of that feature.

Users should choose display names carefully and must not use another person's identity, disclose another student's private information, or use a display name to bully, threaten, impersonate, or humiliate another person.

TUTOR-ME does not promise that a particular leaderboard privacy setting or opt-out control exists unless that control is actually provided in the relevant feature. Users should consult the current interface and Privacy Policy for the information displayed by a specific feature.

Student account details and private learning activity are not intended to be generally accessible to other students. Any public or comparative display should be distinguished from private account information and handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

18. Third-party websites, applications and services

TUTOR-ME may link to or integrate with third-party websites, applications, authentication services, payment providers, AI providers, video platforms, or other external services.

Third-party services are not necessarily owned or controlled by TUTOR-ME. Their availability, security, content, privacy practices, and terms are governed by the relevant third party and may change without notice.

A link or integration is provided for convenience or functionality and does not automatically mean that TUTOR-ME endorses the third party. Users should review the terms and privacy notices of external services before using them or submitting information to them.

19. Service availability and technical changes

TUTOR-ME will make reasonable efforts to maintain a useful and reliable service, but uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed. Access may be affected by maintenance, network failures, hosting or provider outages, capacity limits, security incidents, software updates, or circumstances outside the operator's reasonable control.

Features may be updated, suspended, limited, replaced, or discontinued where reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, legal compliance, product improvement, or operational reasons. Where practicable, material changes affecting users will be communicated through an appropriate channel.

TUTOR-ME does not guarantee that every feature will work on every device, browser, network, or operating-system version. Users are responsible for maintaining compatible devices, appropriate connectivity, and reasonable security on their own devices.

20. Free access, trials, subscriptions and payments

TUTOR-ME may provide free access to some learning features and may offer a free sample, introductory access period, trial, or other limited free entitlement. The exact availability, duration, question limits, and included features are determined by the offer displayed to the user at the relevant time.

Paid subscriptions or other paid services may be introduced or made available at launch or later. A paid service is not considered available merely because these Terms describe the possibility of one.

Before a user completes a purchase, TUTOR-ME or the relevant payment flow should disclose the applicable price, currency, service or subscription period, included benefits, applicable taxes or fees where known, renewal terms, and available cancellation or refund conditions.

Users should review the purchase information before authorising payment. TUTOR-ME will not treat a price, renewal schedule, or paid entitlement as agreed merely because it is mentioned generally in these Terms; the terms presented for the specific offer are relevant to that transaction.

Payments may be processed by an external payment provider. Payment processing, payment security, failed transactions, and any additional provider conditions may also be governed by that provider's terms. Users must not submit payment credentials through an unofficial channel or disclose them to another user.

21. Cancellations, refunds and billing concerns

Where a subscription or paid feature is offered, its checkout or subscription information must explain the applicable cancellation process, renewal arrangements, and refund conditions before the user commits to the purchase.

Cancellation may stop future renewals without automatically refunding a payment already made. However, nothing in these Terms removes a right to a refund, remedy, or cancellation that is required by applicable law or expressly promised in the terms of the relevant offer.

Users who believe they have been charged incorrectly, cannot access a paid entitlement, or need help with a billing issue should contact tutormesupport@gmail.com and provide the relevant transaction information without sending passwords or full payment-card details.

22. Privacy and personal information

TUTOR-ME handles personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 where applicable.

Depending on how a feature is used, information may include account and contact details, learning activity, answers, scores, preferences, support messages, uploaded content, and technical information needed to operate and secure the service. The categories collected and the purposes of processing are described in the Privacy Policy.

TUTOR-ME aims to limit the collection and use of personal information to legitimate purposes connected with providing, maintaining, securing, supporting, and improving the service, subject to applicable law and any valid consent or other lawful basis.

Students' personal account information and private learning activity are not intended to be generally available to other students. Information deliberately shown through a leaderboard or shared feature is different from private account data and is subject to the feature's actual design and the Privacy Policy.

Users and their parents or guardians, where applicable, should read the Privacy Policy for details concerning data use, service providers, retention, security, rights, and contact procedures.

23. Security and responsible disclosure

TUTOR-ME takes reasonable measures intended to protect the platform and personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No internet-connected service, software system, device, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Users must protect their credentials, use devices responsibly, and report suspected account compromise or security problems promptly. Users must not exploit a vulnerability, access data without authorisation, disrupt service, or publish another person's private information.

A person who discovers a possible security weakness should report it privately to tutormesupport@gmail.com with enough detail to allow investigation. They should avoid accessing, changing, downloading, or disclosing information beyond what is reasonably necessary to describe the issue.

24. Disclaimers and educational outcomes

To the extent permitted by law, TUTOR-ME is provided on an availability basis and without a guarantee that every item of content, AI response, recommendation, feature, or result will be error-free, continuously available, complete, or suitable for every user's circumstances.

TUTOR-ME does not guarantee admission to a school, a particular examination score, a scholarship, employment, qualification, or any other academic or personal outcome. Results depend on many factors, including a student's preparation, circumstances, the applicable examination, and the accuracy of information used.

Official examination dates, eligibility requirements, syllabuses, results, admission decisions, and scholarship conditions should be confirmed with the relevant official institution. Users should not rely solely on an unofficial summary or AI-generated response for time-sensitive or consequential decisions.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a legal responsibility or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

25. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, TUTOR-ME and the people operating it will not be responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from a user's inability to access the platform, reliance on an inaccurate educational response, interruption of a third-party service, or use of information contrary to the cautions in these Terms.

This provision does not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including any non-excludable rights or liabilities imposed by applicable Nigerian law. Nothing in this section is intended to remove a remedy that the law requires to remain available.

Users are encouraged to keep appropriate copies of their own important study notes and to verify critical information using reliable sources rather than relying on the uninterrupted availability of an online platform.

26. Suspension, termination and content removal

TUTOR-ME may restrict, suspend, or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate suspected abuse, enforce these Terms, address security concerns, comply with law, or respond to conduct that materially threatens the platform or other users.

Where appropriate and practicable, TUTOR-ME may provide notice or an opportunity to address the concern before taking action. Immediate action may be necessary in cases involving serious safety concerns, suspected unlawful conduct, security risks, or harm to other users.

Users may stop using the platform at any time. Requests to close an account or address associated personal information may be made through tutormesupport@gmail.com and will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy, applicable retention obligations, and applicable law.

Termination does not automatically cancel a separate payment obligation already validly incurred, remove rights that must survive under law, or require TUTOR-ME to retain information beyond a lawful and necessary retention period.

27. Changes, applicable law and dispute handling

TUTOR-ME may revise these Terms to reflect changes in the platform, features, security requirements, business arrangements, or applicable law. The effective date shown on the page identifies the date of the current version.

Where a change is material, TUTOR-ME will make reasonable efforts to provide notice through an appropriate platform notice or other available communication method, where practicable and required by law. Continued use after a change takes effect may constitute acceptance only to the extent permitted by applicable law. Where fresh consent is legally required, it must be obtained.

These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, subject to mandatory legal protections and rules that apply to a particular user or dispute.

Users are encouraged to raise concerns first through tutormesupport@gmail.com. Serious matters that remain unresolved may be escalated to asanamgodspower@gmail.com. Nothing in this process prevents a user from approaching a competent regulator, court, or other lawful dispute-resolution body.

28. General provisions and contact details

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. A failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not automatically waive the right to enforce it later.

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any specific terms properly presented for a feature or purchase describe the relevant conditions for using TUTOR-ME. A specific written agreement may supplement or override these general Terms where it expressly applies and where the law permits.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to create an employment relationship, partnership, agency, or legal entity that has not otherwise been established. References to TutorMe Team and TUTOR-ME 350 Team identify the operating team.

For ordinary support, questions about these Terms, accessibility concerns, suspected misuse, or intellectual-property concerns, contact tutormesupport@gmail.com. For serious unresolved matters, contact asanamgodspower@gmail.com. Telephone support: 09163115859.

TUTOR-ME aims to provide a useful, respectful and responsible learning environment. Users should read these Terms alongside the Privacy Policy and any additional conditions displayed for the feature they choose to use.
